New flat mates:
Prospective flatmates will need to ring us to make a time to see the apartment. You will need to meet the other housemates... If everyone is happy, then you can move in....
Starting your stay:
Each flatmate signs an individual lease for the room which they will be renting, and will be expected to pay the standard bond of 4 weeks rent, which will be lodged with the bond board.
During your stay:
Sharing our apartment is simple… all of our flatmates are encouraged to keep the common areas and shared rooms clean as they go and respect each other. Weekly or fortnightly rent will be paid in advance and is best if done by direct debit. Utilities will be included in the agreed rental price each week... which is a fabulous way of reducing probems in a flatshare situation.
Ending your stay:
Things changed and need to move on?
You will be need to give 4 weeks notice to the owner/managing agent. We will then find a new tenant for your room. You and your flat mates could also put an ad for free at “find a flatmate.com.au”. Domain and Realestate.com.au will also allow you to advertise for “flatmate wanted” under the share sections of their sites. |
